Hi,
Why is it that everyone can't leave comments, and comments are restricted only to members of typolis?

For me, blogging is also about sharing views and i'd like other people to agree/disagree with mine - but everyone doesn't want to go through the process of creating a blog just to be able to comment.

I think if you just made it open - you'd actually find more people coming back. If not, as much as i like typolis for it's functionality and visual appeal, i'm just gonna shift to blogger or some other place where people can comment.

Hi, well, that's a misrepresentation. To comment the postings you simply have to register with 4 items:
nickname
password
password again
your e-mail address

That's it. (The same simple registration process is needed to create your own blog.)

i get what you mean about it being a 4 step process - but i'm sure people would really just like being able to leave anonymous comments. I know i would.

The 4 steps are really simple, i agree, but it's just a matter of conveneince. Everyone has so many options - that even thinking of a nickname becomes a pain. Besides, everyday people fill in so many online forms and join so many communnities - i doubt they're going to keep track of them all.

Would appreciate it if you could make the anonymous comments a possibility. Tks.

I will try to make anonymous comments possible... But I won't promise to make this happen in the next two weeks ;)

hi, anonymous commenting should be protected against spamming. I would like to see it implemented as an option in the preferences such that each blog owner could decide whether to allow anonymous comments or not.

I second what karn has to say about leaving comments. (although it rarely ever happens) My friends find it rather annoying that they have to sign in even though its just 4 simple steps. Sometimes ppl would just like to say something and be done with it without being hassled by making a new account. so would i, actually.

Ok. It's really the next step on my list. But i had to work on security issues first for the last days. I will see if i can realize that in the next week.
